So, what’s the big deal? JMLPets
Why are JMLPets’ products different from everything else out there?
Well, I could say we truly care about our little friends but it’s more.
I could truthfully say the materials we use make all the difference, but it’s more than that!
Our simple thoughtful design makes us stand out, Right? Yeah, but…
Folks, it’s more about making your cat’s needs and requirements our FIRST priority. Not secondary to making money, but your pet’s desires are preeminent in every design of every product we put out. We consider their health concerns, the item’s durability and equally important, even if they’ll actually use it.
Listen, we’ve spent over thirty years paying attention, observing closely how cats, of all breeds, interact with their environments. We took mental notes on how they played, what intrigued them and how they rested peacefully. We paid attention to their innate habits like scratching, hunting, hiding and what made them feel secure. We intended for our items to satisfy these feline necessities.
Let’s look at one of our more popular products in particular; the Claw-Care Perfecto Scratching Pad.
So, what’s the big deal about a scratching pad? Won’t anything do? Well, honestly, yes & no. It’s kind of like saying, “Why can’t I just feed my cat table scraps? It’s food isn’t it?” Yes, you can, but in the long term you’re shortening their life because of malnutrition. They NEED protein more than us to survive and be healthy. Same thing with their claws, they have special needs to consider.
Okay, so why spend money on a Claw-Care when I could buy cardboard? Simple, cardboard does nothing, absolutely nothing, for the health of your cat’s paws! Besides, its messy and needs to be replaced really often. Not to mention your cat can eat the stuff. Same thing applies to Sisal Rope. These materials are used because they’re cheap and they require you to replace them often. Not to mention the ingestion issues! The Claw-Care uses a carefully chosen pad material that offers abrasive and grippy qualities that maintain the claw itself but also helps remove those unwanted claw sheaths. It helps keeps your little one’s claws in perfect condition and has minimal if any residue. (Happy kitty, happy owner, lower vet bills)
Another benefit that sets it apart is the Claw-Care’s base is heavy, substantial and mounted on little rubber feet so they will feel secure while scratching. It won’t easily slide around and gives a stable, non-flexible surface for them. The base is Real Wood, not particle board, so in theory, it should last for generations. Also, if you ever need it, there are replacement pads so actually it could be the last scratch pad you’ll ever buy!!
Sisal Type Rope: 2 Stars – A little more costly. Somewhat accepted by cats. It shreds and creates residue that might possibly be ingested. Better than cardboard for claws but because it shreds so easy it does nothing for sheath maintenance & removal, (very important). Also needs to be replaced often reducing cost effectiveness.
Shag Style Carpet: 1-1/2 Stars – More expensive yet. Some cats like it, some don’t. It tends to come apart easily and strands can be ingested by your cat. Satisfies the clawing desire but doesn’t do much of anything for claw maintenance. Because of how easily the strands separate it needs to be regularly replaced.
Berber Style Carpet: 3-1/2 Stars – More initial cost. Of the four types, probably the best overall, though most of it separates from the backing under moderate use. Because of this it’s durability is limited. Little residue. Cats take to it readily. It meets most of the needs your cat has to maintain her claws except effective sheath removal and abrasiveness.
Claw-Care Pad: 5 Stars – More initial expense but offset by being extremely durable. Replaceable Scratch Pad, (if ever needed), cuts long-term cost immensely. Berber-ish on steroids appearance. Virtually residue free. Cats take to it immediately. Deeply satisfying to your cat and offers everything for complete claw maintenance, including sheath removal and tip upkeep.
So there my fiends, you have it in a nutshell. I have been quoted as saying, “Sure we make the best scratch pad on the market and I would like for you to buy from us, BUT, what’s really important is to get something for your kitty. They need it! I believe you will use wisdom in your purchase.”
Thanks for listening. JMLPets
